FERRY NASSAU-GOVERERNOR’S HARBOR SCHEDULE

DIRECTIONS TO LA BOUGAINVILLEA

Because of the British rule and influence in the islands  remember to drive in the left lane while traveling in the Bahamas.

When exiting the Governor’s Harbor Airport turn left or go south onto Queens Highway. 

Stay on the Queens Hwy until you reach the settlement of Governor’s Harbor. 

When in Governor’s Harbor turn left onto the Banks Rd. There will be Pyfrom’s Liquor Store on the corner.

When on the Banks Rd. you will pass Tippy’s restaurant and Pineapple Field. Stay on Banks until you pass Doyle Sand’s Nursery on the right. The Driveway for La Bougainvillea will  be on your left with a entrance sign.

On the drive way into the La Bougainvillea estate there is a fork in the road.  Stay to the right and go down the drive and you will see the white house with green trim named La Bougainvillea.

Getting to La Bougainvillea and Eleuthera:

AIRPORTS

· Governor's Harbor Airport (GHB) (9,000’ runway) is the preferred airport to reach La Bougainvillea in Eleuthera. It is 7.5 miles north of Governors Harbor, and a short drive to La Bougainvillea.

· North Eleuthera (ELH) is the primary airport for Spanish Wells and Harbor Island. If you fly into (ELH) it will be about an 1 hr drive to La Bougainvillea.

· Rock Sound (RS) is the southern airport located between Tarpum Bay and Rock Sound.
